BOOtanica 2026 | A Little Halloween. A Lot of Community.
A Little Halloween. A Lot of Community.
ICT LAUNCHPAD • COMMUNITY FIELD NOTE • FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2026
From superheroes to a surprise dinosaur, our BOOtanica evening reminded us how much it matters to show up for families.

More than a stop for candy.
On Friday, October 23, ICT Launchpad joined BOOtanica at Botanica, The Wichita Gardens, by hosting a trick-or-treat table from 5–7 p.m. We welcomed families, young people, and imaginative costumes, while introducing visitors to the mission behind ICT Launchpad: helping young people lead, learn, and launch.
A table can be a small thing. But when neighbors meet, children feel welcomed, and local organizations make space for families, it becomes part of something bigger: a community where young people know they belong.

A stop for candy, and a chance to connect.

Small superheroes. Big imaginations.

Each costume brought a story.

A little imagination goes a long way.

And then the dinosaur arrived.
Community support makes room for more.
Thank you, Beth and James Cocca.
Beth and James, thank you for your continued belief in ICT Launchpad and the young people we serve. We especially appreciate Beth’s $250 Halloween-designated contribution on October 18, 2026. Your support helps us create more opportunities for young people and families throughout the year.
Thank you, Botanica and Corinne Wilson.
We appreciate the invitation, event coordination, and opportunity to join this family-centered Wichita tradition. Botanica supplied the trick-or-treat table and candy, while the team helped make the evening welcoming to local organizations and families.
And thank you to the families and community.
To everyone who stopped by, shared a smile, or supported the evening: you made this experience memorable.
From the founder
“Our goal isn't to just invite young people into the community. It's to help them see that they belong in it—and that their community is invested in them.”
